We are currently hiring for an Engagement Director to support our High Growth Entrepreneurial M&A client needs. 

The Engagement Director - M&A serves as the outsourced strategic leader and client service manager for multiple clients. This role is an extension of the client’s leadership team as well as the lead for the CFO Alliance team that supports the client’s needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leading client engagements related to M&A activity
  • Partnering with team members and leadership to meet client stakeholder needs
  • Works through valuation, diligence and integration process
  • Gathers important information regarding risks and opportunities for impending and ongoing M&A activities, translating this information into fact-based and well-reasoned insights on the valuation and structural impact of the merger or acquisition
  • Continual interactions with business leaders in driving ongoing alignment of current acquisitions and mergers
  • Strategic role in leading, planning, and providing support for due diligence activities across all functional areas of any transaction
  • Will assist with modeling and financial analysis of the transaction
  • Tasked with leading the preparation of valuation models following the business’s M&A standards and performing key analyses
  • Partners with client leadership in making final approvals of M&A transactions as well as delivering well communicated, balanced, and comprehensive analyses for each stage of merger and acquisition transactions for the business’s executives and key stakeholders
  • Maintains legislation and regulatory policies governing merger and acquisition transactions within the business’s jurisdiction of operation, ensuring all of the business’s M&A activities fall within the confines of these policies and legislation
  • Additional M&A duties as required

Requirements: Please apply if this is you!
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; A minimum of 14 years of experience working within Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 10 years in working experience in an M&A capacity
  • In-depth operational and valuation financial modeling experience
  • The candidate will have extensive knowledge of accrual accounting concepts, corporate finance, and will also have experience managing an M&A team through the entire life-cycle of a merger or acquisition transaction
  • A suitable candidate will also have had a vast and successful track record of managing transactions, transaction valuation, and strategic transaction analyses
  • Public or private accounting/consulting experience 
  • Advanced Excel and modeling skills (pivots, lookups, complex formulas, and macro capability) 
  • Strong accounting & finance knowledge and experience

  • Candidate that has a desire to function at the CFO level but hasn’t had the opportunity
  • Someone with a versatile mix of accounting and finance background, who wants to make an impact on more than one company
  • Demonstrated ability to advance and a desire to continue growing long term
  • Experience in a leadership accounting or financial role for a small, midsize, startup company 
  • Experience with multiple accounting systems 
  • Multiple industry experience 
  • Private equity and/or mergers & acquisitions experience 
  • MBA or dual degree in finance, CPA, CMA, or other certifications
