What This Position Does
Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Prepare and file tax returns.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. 
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

What you should have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
MBA, CPA or other certifications are preferred.
At least two years' experience in accounting or a related field is required.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
QuickBooks experience is highly preferred.
Client servicing, M&A and software implementation experience is highly preferred.
Experience in multiple industries is preferred.
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
Ability to read and analyze financial reports is required.
Strong understanding of US tax regulations is required.
This position is located in Tampa, FL. and will support multiple clients within the Tampa Bay Area.
Some local travel to client locations is required.
